Credit Strategies are a credit repair firm based in Scottsdale, AZ. They claim that customers get an average increase of 60 points on their credit score, and offer a number of other services, including debt settlement and consumer education.

The first positive aspect of the company we found was that they offer lots of helpful information for consumers regarding credit, credit repair, credit reporting, good credit practices, and more. Our research indicates that companies with more consumer information generally do a better job at helping consumers stay out of credit trouble. Moreover, a greater focus on consumer indication generally means that the company is at least as interested in helping the consumer as they are in making a profit, and important aspect for credit repair companies.

Credit Strategies also gained points in our review because they file disputes with credit reporting agencies to challenge negative and inaccurate information found in credit reports. This information can severely impact a consumer’s credit score, resulting in higher interest rates for loans, or possibly getting denied for loans altogether. These disputes are one of the most common strategies for resolving credit report issues.

The final pro we’d like to highlight is that they offer a money-back guarantee for their customers. The terms of this agreement mean that if they are not able to remove at least 25% of the negatives they work on from your credit report you will get 100% of your money back. This deal shows that they are committed to providing solid services for their clients and earns them points in our review.

Credit Strategies does have some downsides, for example, they don’t offer help with debt collections. While this isn’t strictly necessary to be considered one of the best credit repair services, it does go a long way in helping consumers, and simply making the phone calls and letters stop can be worth the cost of credit repair services.

Credit Strategies has some other issues, including the fact that their fees and rates for services aren’t described on their website, which means that customers will have to set up an appointment or call in to get more information. We don’t like this sales tactic, as customers are more likely to sign up with a service once they’ve shared information, so we view this as a negative when it comes to credit repair services.

Credit Strategies also gets bumped down a few rankings because they don’t have a detailed list of the different services and tactics that they use to get consumer’s credit repaired. This can result in consumers trying techniques that have already failed for them in the past, as well as losing valuable time calling the company or sitting through meetings in order to find out what services the company offers.

Credit Strategies is a good choice for many consumers looking for credit repair options. They have more flexibility than many of the other firms we reviewed, which puts them above the middle of the pack, but they are still lacking several qualities we look for in credit repair companies. Better transparency on pricing would go a long way in helping them move into the ranks of our best credit repair companies.
