iKnow Credit Repair is a credit repair firm that offers a number of flexible plans for consumers to repair their credit. This ranges from a DIY plan that provides the basic information consumers need, to an unlimited plan which costs more but provides greater assurances for customers.
The first advantage they have is the flexibility in their different service options. Customers can pick the package that’s right for their situation. As a result they don’t have to pay more than they need, and can take action on their own if they only have a few issues, while at the same time affording individuals who are victims or identity theft or who have many negative comments the ability to pay iKnow Credit to take action on their behalf.
iKnow Credit Repair has the additional benefit of they offer a dispute service that helps consumers target detrimental information on their credit reports, including late or missed payments, bankruptcies, defaults, tax liens, judgements, and more. These pieces of information can severely impact a person’s credit score and leave them suffering from higher interest rats on loans and credit. Negative information can even disqualify someone for loans and credit, making disputes an excellent tool for credit repair services
Lastly, they have many useful consumer education resources available. This is a big plus for us because our research indicates that companies who offer more consumer education are more likely to help their customers not only get rid of their current credit issues, but also avoid actions which can lead to credit issues in the future. This higher level of customer service and customer satisfaction earns the company some serious points.
iKnow Credit Repair isn’t perfect. The first issue we have is they don’t have the detailed list of services that we want to see from the best credit repair companies. A detailed services list is a good indicator of the resources a company is willing to put into the repair process, and is important when judging the value-for-money of their services. Companies that have a clear list of the services they offer generally did better in terms of the customer service and satisfaction ratings they got from us, other reviewers, and customers.
iKnow Credit Repair has some other issues, including the fact that they use a monthly fee model instead of a pay-per-deletion model. We don’t like this model as much because it means that the consumer is paying the credit repair firm to wait for a response from the reporting agency. Neither the consumer nor the credit repair company has control over how long the credit reporting agency takes to respond to a dispute or verification request, and so the cost for credit repair services can become higher than it should be with the monthly fee model.
iKnow Credit Repair can also improve in that they don’t offer any kind of money back guarantee. This is a bit troubling as it indicates that the firm might be more interested in making money than in helping their customers. This is an especially important consideration for the credit repair industry because so much of the process is out of the hands of the credit repair firm and instead is controlled by credit reporting agencies.
iKnow Credit Repair seems to be a good choice for credit repair. They aren’t quite in our top credit repair companies, but they’re close. The different range of packages and services they offer consumers helps their customers pick the exact amount of help they need, and lets them control how much they spend on credit repair. They’re certainly worth investigating if you’re looking for credit repair services.
