Overview

Credit CPR is a credit repair service company located in Miami, FL. They have been in business since 2002, and focus on helping customers dispute items like late or missing payments, tax liens, judgements, bankruptcies, and other negative or inaccurate information on their credit reports.

Pros

Credit-CPR seems to have a solid focus on helping individuals in their local area improve their credit. They offer a number of dispute options to help consumers remove negative or inaccurate information from their credit reports. Their services include a review of a consumer’s credit reports, an explanation of the reports and the targeting of specific items to dispute or challenge, assistance disputing or challenging items, and then a review of what worked, what didn’t work, and why that is the case.

Cons

There are a few issues with Credit-CPR. The company doesn’t even have a toll free number, which indicates that they are strongly focused on working with people in their area, so if you don’t live in the South Florida area, this likely isn’t the company for you. Moreover, they have an incredibly small web presence, which makes it hard to verify their services or find out what their customers have said.

Another issue we take with Credit-CPR is that they lack clear pricing information. They say that their service will cost $299-499 depending on how much work they do for you, but this ambiguity does them no favors when trying to break into the top companies that we looked at.

Credit-CPR also only offers dispute programs. They don’t provide any information regarding how consumers can build credit once they are done with the repair process, nor do they have any educational materials or programs to help prevent consumers from repeating the same mistakes that got them into trouble in the first place. Our research indicates that companies that have more consumer educational materials and a consumer education program generally get better results and have higher marks for customer satisfaction and customer service.

Finally, Credit-CPR doesn’t have a very detailed description about what makes their services better than their competitors. This makes is hard to evaluate their value for money for most consumers, and makes their process seem like something that a consumer could find at any credit repair company.

Verdict

We don’t recommend Credit-CPR. They don’t have the programs or services that we expect from the best credit repair companies, and don’t seem to have the capacity or desire to work nationwide, limiting their appeal for most customers.
